PCI Compliance Scan
Companies that accept, store or process credit/debit cards electronically needs to comply with the requirements set by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC). To be compliant with requirement 11.2 of the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), merchants and service providers must conduct and pass a quarterly vulnerability scan. Vulnerability scans help identify vulnerabilities and misconfiguration of websites, applications, and other information technology infrastructures with Internet-facing IP addresses and can provide valuable insights to derive security measures that improve protection against any potential attacks. Critical vulnerabilities can cause the scan to fail and leave the application open to attacks which may potentially expose cardholder data. Failure to comply with the PCI security standards may result in substantial fines or permanent expulsion from card acceptance programs.
Merchants may be fined up to $500,000 per incident if they are not PCI Compliant at the time of a security breach. Consequences may include loss of reputation, loss of customers, financial liabilities, litigation etc.
Spectrum helps you to be in compliance with the PCI standards by performing scans for you and identify any security holes in your system. Spectrum will asses and fix the vulnerabilities found in the scan all the while working in tandem with you to keep your systems safe from any potential security breach and protect your sensitive cardholder data from the attacker.
